Thousands of Christians in America came together this weekend to celebrate the 240th year of America’s Independence at Fellowship Church’s “Freedom Experience” in Grapevine city of Texas.
Thousands of Christians, prayed and celebrated their independence in Church. Later they fired crackers and turned the sky to colors. God Bless America!!, they shouted.
Every year Pastor Ed Young Jr.’s Fellowship Church hosts a series of prayer meetings to celebrate the July 4th holiday and to honor fallen soldiers and their families’ sacrifice.
“Our church has a deep appreciation for our nation, the freedom we have, and all those who fight to provide it,” church spokesman Andy Boyd told The Christian Post on Tuesday.
“One of the key elements in this year’s experience was a prayer for the Nation, led by Pastor Ed Young. The prayer mostly focused on thanking God for what He has blessed us with and asking for His hand of guidance and direction as our country moves forward.”
Boyd said he hoped “people left feeling a sense of appreciation for the freedom we have — not only here in our nation, but in eternity through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. “For those who have not experienced the ultimate freedom, our prayer is that they understood the sacrifice that has been made on their behalf by Jesus Christ, and that they came into a relationship with Him,” he added.
“The movie for this weekend was the blockbuster ‘American Sniper,’ and Pastor Ed’s teaching focused on the power of sacrifice and the need for each of us to serve others as a reflection of what Jesus has done for us,” Boyd said.
